Frances Franklin Baszak

Frances Franklin Baszak, 83 years old, of 2430 Slate Branch Road, Somerset, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at the home of her daughter in Virginia. She was born July 27, 1923 in Seco, Kentucky to the late Melvin and Maggie Tolliver. She was married to Andrew “Jack” Franklin for 42 years and to her second husband Frank Baszak for 18 years. Survivors include her daughter Tricia (and John) Stallard of Bumpass, Virginia and her son Stoney (and Jean) Franklin of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her sister Donna (and Ed) Miracle of Richmond, Kentucky and brother Bill Tolliver of Lady Lake, Florida; her grandchildren Cheryl Mankowski of Fairfax Station, Virginia, Eric (and Lori) Stallard of Ashburn, Virginia, Amy and James Franklin of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and great-grandchildren Kyle, Katie and Kevin Mankowski, Chelsea, Brandon and Abigayle Franklin, and Sydney and Jacqueline Stallard. Fran retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio where she lived for more than 20 years. She loved to make yo-yo bedspreads, as well as can green beans and apples, and cook for her many friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 1:00 pm at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
