Arvis Glenn Tuggle, 74, of Bourne Avenue, Somerset, KY, died on Thursday morning, September 21, 2006 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born at Fall Creek in Wayne County, KY on March 11, 1932, son of the late Addie and Maymie Coffey Tuggle.
He was a welder and retired from Mid-state Automotive. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corp during the korean Conflict. He was a faithful member of the High Street Baptist Church where he loved to pass out candy to the kids and adults.
He is survived by his loving wife Alfreda Adkins Tuggle, whom he married on March 27, 1953; two daughters blessed this union, Vickie (and Dale) Dungan, and Patty (and Joe) Dungan; also survivng is one grandaughter, Amy Gibson; two grandsons, Greg (and Teya) Dungan, and Patrick Dungan; three great grandsons, Braden Weddle, Jordan Phelps, and Daylan Dungan all of Somerset, KY; seven brothers and sisters, Lula (and Cullem) Coffey of Monticello, KY, Claude (and Katherine) Tuggle and Roy Lee (and Bernice) Tuggle all of Louisville, KY, Betty Purdue of New castle, IN, Bernice (and Paul) Watson of Somerset, KY, Rita (and Murrell) Denney of Waynesburg, KY, and Darrell (and Betty Sue) Tuggle of New Castle, IN; his mother-in-law, Beulah Tarter, and his brother-in-law, Wayne (and Ellen) Tarter.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Carlos Tuggle; one grandaughter, Leslie Dungan; and one brother-in-law, Frank Purdue.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Jaime Vance, Rev. C. E. Jacobs and Bro. Greg Dungan officiating. Burial will follow in the Eubank Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Arvis Glenn Tuggle will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006.
