Mr. Julius "Pee Wee" Alexander, son of the late Andrew M. and Hester Phelps Alexander, was born in Pulaski County, KY on July 19, 1931 and departed this life at his residence on September 2, 2006 having attained the age of 75 years.
He was united in marriage to Clara Mildred Barron Alexander on April 19, 1958, she survives.
Other survivors include; two sisters, Vera Chaney of Paris, KY and Virginia "Jenny" White (and her husband, James Robert) of Somerset, KY; two sisters-in-law, Florine Alexander and Letha Harris Alexander both of Somerset, KY; one grandson, Kyle Wayne Alexander of Somerset, and several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors who mourn his passing. He also leaves behind his special friends at the Dairy Queen with whom he had coffee with almost every day.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; one son, Danny Wayne Alexander, two brothers, Calvin and Ira Alexander; and four sisters, Glendith Alexander Floyd Brown, Edith Goforth, Gertrude Alexander bales Bieber and Margaret Hubbard.
Pee Wee was a retired Forestry Service Employee, a Korean War Air Force Veteran and a member of the Beuna Vista Baptist Church in Somerset, KY. He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 06, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Strunk officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2006.
Military honors will be conducted for Mr. Alexander by the American Legion Post # 38.
