Mrs. Loida Huddleston, daughter of the late Bryant and Catherine Luttrell Huddleston, was born at Windsor, KY on May 17, 1915 and she departed this life in Somerset, KY on Saturday, April 17, 2010 having attained the age of 94 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Clide Delmer Huddleston, he preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Anna Lee (and Hubert) Tarter and Clyda Vanhook all of Somerset, KY; two granddaughters,
Tina A. Vanhook and Dr. Gina L. (Dr. James) Saindon, and five great grandchildren, Catherine Patrick, Brittany Penick, Sydney Lynn Saindon, Evan James Saindon and Hope Nichole Saindon, she is also survived by two good friends, Lucielle Shadoan and Smith Vanhook.
Other than her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Lanny G. Tarter, and the following brothers and sisters, Leslie Holt, Lillie Randolph, Leo Holt, Cleo Holt, Zelmer Holt, Lettie Foster, Woodrow Holt, and Cosby Holt.
Loida was a member of the First Baptist Church in Somerset, and she was a volunteer at Sunrise Manor from 1991 until 2000. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends and church family who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. French Harmon and Rev. David Pendley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Loida Huddleston will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
