Velma Joy Mayfield

Mrs. Velma Joy Mayfield, 75, of Science Hill. passed away Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 at Lake Cumberland Reg. Hospital, Somerset, Ky. Mrs. Mayfield was born in High Bridge, Kentucky on July 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Leo and Mable B (Sallee) Strunk. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. She was the widow of Vincent J Mayfield. Survivors include her Sons: Michael Mayfield of Lexington, KY., Robert Mayfield of Science Hill, KY., Alan Mayfield of Berea, Ky. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, her Sisters: Kathleen Miller of Ferguson, Ky., Vicki Ashley of Somerset, Ky. Brother(s): Roger Strunk of Eubank, Ky. She was Preceded in Death by her Parents, husband, two sisters Martha Louise and Anna Marie. Friends are invited to call Wednesday After 6:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home, Somerset, Ky, at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 24th, with Bro. Mike Stacey officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
