Mr. Samuel D. Dykes

Mr. Samuel D. "Sammy" Dykes, the son of Imogene Rogers Dykes and the late Rev. James Dykes, was born in Pulaski Co., KY on January 18, 1947 and he departed this life peacefully in the presence of his family on Saturday, August 19, 2006 having attained the age of 59 years. Samuel was an Air Force Veteran, a member of our local D. A. V. Chapter and he attended the Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2 at Hail, KY he was also a very kind person who will be missed by all who knew him. Other than his mother, he is also survived by; two brothers, James Roger (and Sherry) Dykes of Deming, NM. and Richard Allen (and Vicki) Dykes of Georgetown, KY; three sisters, Rosemary (and Roy) Warren of Somerset, KY, Sue Dykes of Somerset, KY and Linda Kay (and Gilbert) Gosser of Russell Springs, KY; many nephews and nieces and one great great nephew. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery #2 at the Hail Community in Pulaski Co., KY. The family of Mr. Samuel "Sammy" Dykes will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home on Sunday, August 20, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and then after 8:00 a.m. Monday morning August 21, 2006 until after services. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
