Elmer Garfield Slaughter

Mr. Elmer Garfield Slaughter, Age 82 of Somerset, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He Was born September 18th 1923 to James and Mary Gilmore Slaughter, he was retired from Southern Elemetery School, he was of the Baptist faith and a member of South Maple Street Baptist Church. He is survived by his three children, James (Veronica) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Donald (Rose) of Somerset, Ky; Linda Slaughter of Somerset, Ky; One Brother, John Samuel (Katherine) of Columbus, Ohio; 4 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren a host of neices and nephews and many other realtives and friends and a special grandson Donald "puggie." He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irene Goggins Slaughter, 4 sisters, Flora, Bertha, Maggie, and Stella; 2 brothers Edward, and Clifford, one granddaughter Amy Yvette. The family of Mr. Slaugher wishes to recieve friends from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday August 14, 2006 at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 15, 2006 at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. James Bartleson officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Springs National Cemetery. With Honor Guard Post #38.
