Sarah Desta Flynn Ping

Sarah Desta Flynn Ping, 74, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010 at Britthaven Nursing Home. She was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on November 28, 1935, daughter of the late John and Flora Flynn. She retired from Palm Beach and was a member of Parkers Mill Baptist Church. She was faithful to her church and family. She is survived by one daughter, Beverly & (Twig) Weigel of Somerset and one grandson, Stephen Weigel of Somerset, to whom she was very dedicated and loving. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ping, whom she married on January 9, 1960 and who died on November 17, 2008, her parents, three brothers, Arville Flynn, Farrell Flynn and Archie Flynn and two sisters, Alta Edwards and Katheryn Ping. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 12, 2010 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. Greg Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Visitation for Sarah Desta Flynn Ping will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
