Anna Belle Stigall Nicholas Casada, age 92 of Bronston, Ky., departed this life on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Sunrise Manor. She was born June 20, 1917 to William O. and Ollie (Thompson) Stigall. She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters: Worth, William, Charlie, Edgar, Ernest and Jessie Stigall, Eva Flynn, Foxie Flynn, Flonnie Daughtery, and Bessie Daulton.
Anna married Jim Nicholas in 1938, who preceded her in death in 1975. To this union three children were born: Wanda (David) Doss of Monticello, who preceded her in death; Russell (Joyce) Nicholas of Somerset; and Janice (Jimmy) Troxell of Burnside. She was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren: Alan (Freda) Doss; Kim Taylor; Belinda (Terry) Corder; and Brian (Grace) Neeley. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Donna Sue Doss. She was also adored by six great-grandchildren: Rachael Taylor, MacKenzie Doss, Meghan Corder, Nathan Corder, Ethan Corder and Breanna Waddle.
Anna was preceded in death by her second husband, Frank Casada in 1989. To this union she is survived by four step-children: Geneva Flynn, Imogene Flynn, David Casada, and Karen Branscum as well as several step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Carl Casada.
She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young woman and was a member of Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church.
She loved gardening, quilting, and talking with family and friends. She touched many lives with her caring and compassion and will be truly missed by all who loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Don Hiten officiating. Burial will follow in the Quinton Cemetery at Bronston. The family of Anna Casada will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral home after 6 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
