Ada E. Ard

Ada E. Ard, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Vranish, was born on July 24, 1914 and she departed this life in the presence of her family on Sunday, January 24, 2010 having attained the age of 95 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. James Ard, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; two sons, Jones Michael Ard of Nancy, KY, James (and LaBera) Ard of Nicholasville, KY and Mary Lou (and Ben) Foster of Somerset, KY; one brother, Frank Vranish of Florida; one sister, Helen Bathurst of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Michael Ard, Jonathan Ard, Jason Ritter, and Jamie Jones; and one great grandchild, Mason Lee Pendleton. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. She enjoyed Bowling, Bingo, Flowers, being around people and family, and she was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church at Naomi, KY. She worked as a shift manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken for many years. She was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Noel Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Naomi. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
