Mr. Delmer Dewey (Sam) Foster, age 61, of Somerset, son of the late Dewey and Dorothy (Ard) Foster was born in Faubush, Kentucky on September 24, 1948 and departed this life on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at his residence in the presence of his family. Delmer is survived by his wife Gladys (Goff) Foster, one daughter; Anita (and Ron) Galloway of Somerset, two granddaughters; Melia and Tiony Galloway of Somerset. Delmer is also survived by three sisters; Alfreda (and Dale) Stringer, Chestena (and Virgil) Childers, Jewel Calhoun all of Somerset, five brothers; Elvin (and Katie) Foster, Delvin (and Lois) Foster, Jimmy Foster, Benny (and Mary Lou) Foster, Roger Foster all of Somerset, three brother-in-laws; Curt Calhoun, Junior (and Brenda) Gossett, Danny (Linda) Goff, three sister-in-laws; Donna Foster, Joyce (and Donnie) Vaught, and Shirley Goff all of Somerset. Other than his parents Delmer was preceded in death by one sister; Catherine Eloise Foster, one brother; William Jerry Foster, and his mother & father-in-law; George and Martha Goff. Delmer was of the Baptist faith and an employee of the Foster Rebuilders. He was a member of the Backwoods Sportsman Club and the Pisgah School Jammers. Funeral services for Mr. Delmer Foster will be held in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 2:00p.m. with Bro. Ben Mitchell officiating. Burial will be held in the Smith-Grove Cemetery in Nancy. The family of Mr. Foster will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 after 5 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers family request contributions be made to the Delmer Foster Memorial Fund.
