Anna Margaret Neikirk, 75, of N. Main Street, Somerset, KY, wife of John Robert Neikirk, departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 at home with her family present. Anna was born April 25, 1934 in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late Dr. Morris R. Holtzclaw and Mattie Mae Hubble Holtzclaw Henry. She and Bob were married on January 1st, 1954. A lifelong resident of Somerset, Ann was a Registered Nurse and was employed as the plant nurse for Tecumseh Products for many years in addition to serving as a nurse at Britthaven. She will be lovingly remembered for her passions in life, which include her devotion to Jesus Christ, prayer ministry, her love for family and friends, music and her country. She served as a gifted pianist for several churches in Pulaski County where she shared her music. We’ll miss her smile, her laughter and tender generosity. Ann is survived by her husband Bob, four children, Joe (and Melissa) Neikirk of Campbellsville, Judy (and Mike) Kluempke of Richmond, Laura (and Harold) Megargel, and John Neikirk of Somerset. “Momma Ann” is also survived by seven grandchildren, Joy Wesley Lopez, Sarah Wesley Thomas, Joseph and Jacob Neikirk, and Andy, C.J. and Tyler Megargel, two great-grandsons, Samuel Lopez and Wesley Thomas, and a sister Nell Arnau of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 15th at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The family of Anna Margaret Neikirk will receive friends on Saturday, January 16th from 10:00 a.m. until time for services to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bros. Bentley Hogan and John Wilson presiding. Burial will be in the Bishop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alternative Recovery Center (Joe Neikirk Director) located in Campbellsville, Kentucky for the addition of a prayer and meditation room, or to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of arrangements for Anna Margaret Neikirk.
