Hazel Prather

Hazel Prather, 100, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on January 2, 2010. She was born in Adair County, Kentucky on August 19, 1909, to the late Thomas Gee and Mary Susan (Hale) Rasner. She was the widow of Clarence Prather whom she married on December 25, 1930, and preceded her in death in June of 1983. She is survived by one daughter Virginia Molden of Somerset, Kentucky, three granddaughters, Joy (and Jeff) Adams, Jill (and Mark) Fothergill, and Debbie (and Frank) Carrington all of Somerset, and nine great-grandchildren, Tyler Adams, Austin Adams, Dustin Fothergill, Devin Fothergill, Danay Fothergill, Dylana Fothergill, Jordan Carrington, Ryan Carrington, and Kathryn Carrington all of Somerset. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son-in-law Don Molden, four sisters, and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Pulaski Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
