Miss Tyler Blackburn, age 32, daughter of Dr. Glenn (and Joyce) Blackburn was born June 2, 1977 and departed this life on Monday, November 23, 2009 at Good Samaritan hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Tyler is survived by her parents, one brother; Michael Blackburn (and his fiancé; Lynsey King), one niece; Ella Elizabeth Blackburn, aunts and uncles; Shelby (and Jane) Parrott of Bowling Green, Don and Melody Moss of Somerset, Steve (and Amy) Parrott of Somerset, and David (and Beth) Winchester of Scottsboro, Alabama. Tyler also leaves behind the following cousins; Lance and Shelby Parrott of Bowling Green, Barrett and Ann Blaire Moss of Somerset, Joshua, Ashley and Addie Parrott of Somerset, Chip and Jodie Slaten of Scottsboro, Alabama, Kim and Charles Winchester of Tallassee, Alabama, Wesley and Sally Black of Scottsboro, Alabama and Rebecca Winchester also of Scottsboro, Alabama. She also leaves behind a host of friends who all mourn her passing. Miss Blackburn was preceded in death by her grandparents; Glenn (Edith) Blackburn and Lowell (and R.C.) Parrott. Tyler was a graduate of Somerset High School where she was a member of the 1994 KHSAA State Championship Golf Team and a member of the 1995 golf team. Tyler was a Somerset High School Hall of Fame member. She later attended Western Kentucky University and Eastern Kentucky University on Golf Scholarships and then went to Cosmetology School. She was the owner of the “A New You Hair Studio” and a member of the Science Hill United Methodist Church. Funeral services for Miss Tyler Blackburn will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Science Hill United Methodist Church with Bro. Paul Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Tyler Blackburn will receive friends on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 5-8p.m. at the Church. In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the Somerset Humane Society. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for Miss Tyler Blackburn
