Jack L. Lovell, age 80, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, at Columbus, Ohio.
Jack was born at Tateville, KY and he served in the U. S. Army in Europe during World War II. Campaigns and battles included Northern France and Ardennes, and Battle of the Bulge. Jack's unit, 376th Infantry, first battalion was attached to the 101st airborne. Jack was awarded the Bronze Star and he was retired from the American Cyanamid Corp.
He was preceded in death by; his parents, Earl and Cassie Lovell; a sister, Bernice; and Jack's wife, Louise Casada Lovell.
He is survived by; his daughter, Lois (and Jerry) Borin; two granddaughters; two great grandchildren; five sisters, Johanna Stephens, Olene Darsey, Barbara Woods, Audrey Sutton and Janie Walden; five brothers, Jimmy, Hollis, Jerry, Phil and Billy Lovell and many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Jack is remembered as a great husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He had a sense of humor, an easy-going personality and a fondness for the lake and fishing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 with burial following the funeral at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38.
The family of Mr. Jack L. Lovell will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2006.
