Mrs. Era Mae Allen

Mrs. Era M. Allen, daughter of the late John and Bonnie Schoolcraft Weddle, was born at Faubush, Kentucky on February 23, 1918 and she departed this life on Friday, October 2, 2009 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 91 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Allen, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; three children, Teddy (and Anita) Weddle, of Chicago, IL, Donnie Allen of New hampshire and Danica (and Bruce) Benson of Chicago, IL; one sister, Jean dagley of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Weddle, Katie allen and Scott Allen; one nephew, Wayne Dagley, and three nieces, Frances Clouser, Elizabeth Hendrickson and Lisa Dick. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ozel and James Weddle. Era was a secretary for Combined Insurance Company for many years, she was also a homemaker and a member of the Langdon Street Baptist Church. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives who mourn her passing. Private graveside services were held on Tuesday, October 5, 2009. Pulaski Funeral Home was honored in serving the family of Era Allen.
