Phillip Wayne Grundy

Mr. Phillip Wayne Grundy, son of the late Walter and Lessie (Roberts) Grundy, was born on June 21, 1953 in McCreary County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at his residence in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 56 years old. Mr. Grundy is survived by his wife of 27 years; Vicky (New) Grundy of Somerset, five sons; Phillip Jr. (and Ashley) Grundy, Timothy (and Misty) Grundy, Phillip Jordan Grundy, William Henderson Grundy, and Robert New Grundy all of Somerset, Kentucky, three brothers; Walter Jr., Roger, and Larry Grundy also all of Somerset, Kentucky. Mr. Grundy also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who all mourn his passing. Other than his parents Phillip was preceded in death by one son; James Henderson Grundy, one daughter; Amber Lynn Grundy, one brother; Bill Grundy and one sister; Rebecca Sue Neal. Mr. Grundy adhered to the Baptist faith and will be greatly missed by all who new him. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home, burial will follow in the Grave Hill Cemetery. The family of Mr. Grundy will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
