Erika Alexandra Burr Todd

July 13, 1988 — February 28, 2017

Erika’s Legacy of Love and FaithErika Alexandra Todd, age 28, was welcomed to her heavenly home on February 28, 2017. She had a special welcoming party at the gates of heaven with her grandparents, Barbara and David Burr and Freelan “Warpy” Hughes leading the group, along with Omer Todd.Erika was born on July 13, 1988 at Fort Stewart, Georgia, and resided with her husband and children in Somerset, Kentucky. Although her time on earth was brief, while she was here she made her mark. To know Erika Todd was to love her.  She was easy to love, and she loved others with all of her heart.  She leaves a huge void in so many hearts, but entrusts her legacy of faith and love to so many. She leaves her husband, Jacob Michael Todd, to continue on with raising their two beautiful sons, Walter Samuel Todd, twenty-three months, and Graham Michael Todd, three months.  She also leaves her legacy to be carried on by her mother, Nancy Workman, and her father, Anthony Workman, both of London, KY, her two sisters, Katie Ann Gallagher (Ryan) of Williamsburg, VA and Kerrie Allison Burr of Louisville, KY, her brother, Evan Walker Workman of London, KY, her grandmother, Corrine Hughes of Guthrie, KY (formerly of London, KY), Jacob's grandparents, Marie Todd of Somerset, KY, Walter and Dolores Forster of Lexington,KY, her father and mother-in-law, Michael Lee and Donna Forster Todd, and her brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Erin Todd, all of Somerset, Kentucky, as well as a host of other family members and friends to carry on this legacy. Erika leaves her mark on her workplace.  She was a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. Her mark can also be found at the University of the Cumberlands where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and at Lincoln Memorial University where she earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. As fiercely as she loved her family and friends, she loved Jesus even more.  Her legacy of faith touched everyone that she encountered.  The Word was her comfort and was constantly on her lips.  This legacy of faith will also be carried on with the members of both the First Church of God in Somerset and with Calvary Worship Center in London, KY—the church where she grew up.  Although Erika is now walking through a garden full of every shade of pink tulips and peonies—ones that never lose their blooms—she leaves her legacy on earth to be carried on. She leaves with us the legacy of being a loving wife, a mother who would fight with everything in her for her children, a loyal daughter and granddaughter, a wonderful in-law, the greatest big sister ever, a special niece, a dedicated and fiercely loyal friend, and a faithful servant of God.  Erika’s story is special and worthy to be remembered.  The family will be receiving family and friends who wish to honor Erika and her memory from 5 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Calvary Worship Center in London, KY: 72 Esquire Ln. London, Kentucky and after 9 AM Monday, March 6, 2017 at Pulaski Funeral Home.A private family burial will be held at a later date.A Celebration of Erika's life will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 6, 2017 with Rev.
