Mr. Ray Meece

Mr. Ray Meece, of White Lily, KY, son of the late Dee and Lily Mayfield Meece was born in the Ruth Community of Pulaski County on July 28, 1934, and he departed this life on February 23, 2017 having attained the age of 82 years.He was united in marriage to Helen Meece. She survives. Other survivors include ; two sons, Calvin Meece, and Sammy (and Sherry) Meece of Somerset, KY and one daughter, Ronda (and Joe) Crawford also of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Hunter Crawford, Winston Crawford and Laura (and Bill) Coomer; great grandchildren, Abigail, Emma & Jordan Coomer, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; seven sisters, Martha Meece, Ora Meece, Okra Tomlison, Rusha Pruitt, Madlee Hargis, Elnora Decker and Fannie Brinson; and two brothers, Curtis and Frank Meece.Ray was a retired auto mechanic and owner of Meece's Garage. He was also a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church, a former board member of the White Lily Park. The park had a very special place in Ray's heart. He loved fishing, hanging out at 192 Market, and making everyone's day better with his smile and outgoing personality.A funeral service for Mr. Ray Meece will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Lockard officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay Hill Cemetery.The family of Mr. Ray Meece will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time for services.In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Clay Hill Baptist Church Youth fund, 3705 Hwy 192, Somerset, KY 42501.Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Ray Meece.
