Larry G. Whitis

Larry G. Whitis, 70, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 13, 2017. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 16, 1946; son of the late Robert Eugene and Agnes Francis Cook Whitis. He was a retired carpet installer, and of the Christian faith. He is survived by his wife, Karen Whitis; his children, Terry Lee & (Karen) Brown of Indianapolis, IN, Bonnie Whitis, Michelle Blevins, Shenah & (Shawn) Ball, and Cody Murphy all of Somerset; three sisters, Sandy & (Jerry) Higginbotham of Somerset, Linda & (Charlie) Ledford of Lexington, and Patty & (Donald) Black of Somerset; grandchildren, Kayla Ball, Madison Blevins, Colton Waugh, Abby Ward, Micah Ward, Abby Jones, Molly Brown, Andrew Brown, and Corey Brown; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Mike Whitis; one sister, Ruth Love; and a grandson, Joshua Whitis. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Black officiating.Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.Visitation for Mr. Larry Whitis will be after 6 PM Friday, January 20, 2017 at Pulaski Funeral Home.Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
