Emma Deatherage of Lehigh Acres, FL died at nearly 101 years of age. She had lived in Lehigh Acres since December, 1972 coming from Dayton Ohio with her husband, Charles B. Deatherage, upon his retirement from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Her husband died Nov. 30, 1998. They had been married 60 and 1/2 years at the time of his death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, James B and Hallie Jarrett Clark, 3 sisters and 2 brothers, leaving her the last surviving member of her immediate family except for many nieces and nephews, among whom are Jean Wells of Nolensville,TN, Joanne Galyon of Philadelphia, TN, Helen Norfleet of Nancy KY, Ester Burton of Idaho, Martha Blevins and Judy Williams of Eubank, KY, Virginia Miller and Benita Santel of Hamilton Ohio, Jill Gulick of Winchester, OH, Kathy Reid of Georgetown, OH, James Clark of Mt. Orab, OH, Carter Clark of Winston Salem, NC, J.C. Tarter of Somerset, KY, John Singleton and Lester Singleton of Eubank Ky. She also leaves a great number of second and third generation nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2017 at the Mill Springs National Cemetery with Rev. Willis Wells officiating. The family of Mrs. Deatherage will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the Graveside Service.
