Elma Mae Baker

Mrs. Elma Mae Baker, of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late Drew and Doxie (Dye) Bailey, was born on December 25, 1925 in the Oil Center Community in Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home having attained the age of 83. Other than her parents Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband; William B. Baker, two sisters; Evelyn Baker, and Edna Dalton and one daughter-in-law; Connie Strunk Baker. Mrs. Baker is survived by one daughter; Corlas (and Gene) VanHoosier of Somerset, Kentucky, two sons; Dexter (and Sue) Baker of Bledsoe, Kentucky, Randy (Cindy) Baker of Somerset, Kentucky and the following grandchildren; Sharon (and Mike) Hansford, Phyllis (and David) Phelps, Nathan (and Lura) Baker, Andrea (and Ryan) New, Brandi (and Nathan) Speck, Corey Baker, James (and Devin) and Jerry (and Aprille) Griffith, Nathan and Sam Catron. She also survived by nine great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing. Mrs. Baker was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Homemaker. Funeral services for Mrs. Elma Mae Baker will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. C.E. Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Baker will receive friends on Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for Mrs. Elma Mae Baker.
