Ray Lipps

  Mr. Ray Lipps, age 73, of Somerset, KY passed away at his home on December 26, 2016.Ray was born on April 12, 1943 in Botto, Clay Co, KY, the son of Wilburn and Dora (Henson) Lipps both of Hamilton, Ohio. He was married to Vicki Marie (Bogue) in 1967 in Huntington Beach, CA. He was the father of two sons, Richard, age 51, who lives in Germany and Shawn, age 49 of Somerset. Ray was a wonderful father and caregiver to our Shawn who was disabled in 1986 in an auto accident.Other survivors include; his wife, Vicki , a brother Eugene and Maggie Lipps of Somerset. Sister, Rita Holder of Perris, California; two granddaughters, Sabrina (Daniel) Hohne, and Xenia Christian and a future great grandchild all of Germany.Ray was a cryptographer during his service in the Air Force while stationed at Weisbaden, Germany and a member of American Legion Post # 38. He worked as a contracts Administrator in the aerospace industry while living in California and Washington. After moving to Somerset in 1999 he was manager for Waitsboro Hills Golf Course for three years then retired. He enjoyed played golf, talking politics and spending time with family and friends.Ray is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Betty Faye Stephenson and Patricia Gray, and brother Clayton Lipps all of Hamilton, Ohio.Ray’s remains will be cremated under the supervision of Pulaski Funeral Home.
