Don Johnson

Mr. Don Stanley Johnson, was born July 19, 1949 to the late Clarence Johnson and his surviving mother Thelma McKinney Johnson. Don passed from this life on Friday, Decmber 09, 2016 at his residence in Somerset, KY. His heart belonged to Rita Greene, his fiancee and his immediate family members, daughter, Jamie Thacker, son-in-law, Brian Thacker and grandchildren, Zachery and Brittany Thacker. He is survived by brother's and sister's -in-law, Finley & Janice Johnson, Larry & Leslie Johnson along with many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.Don was strong in his Mormon faith, serving Jesus his savior and God his creator. He loved his church family.His favorite things were music, guitars, and motorcycles. He was proud of having his own gun shop and loved talking with his many customers.Don never met a stranger and had many friends and loved telling stories of his travels in his days of wandering. He often referred to the 60's and 70's as his lost years, but in later times understood it was a time of seeking his life purpose and fulfillment, which he found when he accepted Jesus and embraced his faith and church.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Paul George and Bro. Mike Goldman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, KY.The family of Mr. Don Stanley Johnson will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016.Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Don Stanley Johnson.
