James H. Sexton, 86, of Ferguson, Kentucky passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his residence.He was born on November 21, 1930; son of the late, Samuel Ivan and Minnie Mae Doolin Sexton. He was a retired dispatcher for Norfolk Southern Railroad; and a life time member of Ferguson Baptist Church. He was a US Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and gardening. He loved having a good conversation, even if it was with a stranger.He is survived by his wife Barbara Stokes Sexton, whom he married on December 27, 1954; a son, Joe & (Carol) Sexton; three daughters, Edra & (Kent) Boswell, Tina & (Doug) Hall, and Melissa & (Rick) Coldiron all of Somerset; two sisters, Wanda Persell, and Margaret & (Dallas) Hafley both of Ferguson; thirteen grandchildren, Matthew & (Tina) Sexton of Louisville, Andrew & (Melissa) Sexton of Austin, TX, Megan Sexton of Louisville, Sam & (Dawn) Sexton of Louisville, Eric Boswell & Lara Muse and Alison Boswell both of Somerset, Chase Hall of Bakersfield, CA, Colby Hall of Sandy Springs, GA, Charley Hall, Chelsea Coldiron, Haley Coldiron, Catherine Coldiron, and Caroline Coldiron all of Somerset; and eight great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; and six brothers and sisters, Arlene Schulten, Marjorie Boone, Stella Marie Holloway, Roberta Newell, Charles Sexton, and Pat Sexton.A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Vance officiating.Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.Visitation for Mr. James H. Sexton will be from 6-9 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Pulaski Funeral Home.The family requests expressions of sympathy to take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
