Shirley Alexander, daughter of the late Oather and Thelma Sears Alexander, was born in Pulaski County, KY on March 27, 1936 and she departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2009 in the presence of her family, having attained the age of 73 years.
She is survived by; four children, Michael Grubb of Cincinnati, OH, Dianna (and Paul) Burgun of Cincinnati, OH, James Donnelly of Jacksonville, FL, and Rod Denney of Aurora, IN, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one brother, Charles Alexander of Cincinnati, OH,
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by; one brother, Wayne Alexander, and one sister, Betty Donahoe.
Shirley was a hair dresser, and she adhered to the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed Bird Watching, Flowers, Gardening, and playing Pogo, she also enjoyed her pets, namely her dog, “Bear” who preceded her in death, and her two cats, “Curious and Tiger”. Shirley was a kind, person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 03, 2009. Burial will follow in the Clay Hill Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Shirley Alexander will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 until after funeral services.
