Betty Lee Vaughn Wallace, daughter of the late Lee and Josephine Snyder Vaughn, was born in Ferguson, KY on February 27, 1939 and she departed this life on Monday, December 5, 2016 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 77 years. Betty was united in marriage to Charles Wallace on August 19, 1960 in Jellico, TN.  She was preceded in death her parents; her daughter, Christy Wallace Meece and her husband, Charles Wallace. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was deeply loved by her family and friends. She was admired by everyone who knew her for her faith, strength, and courage during this most difficult time. She will be missed and remembered always. Betty was an inspiration to all who knew her.  She was a faithful Christian and was always active in her church. She was a member of the Ferguson United Methodist Church.  When she was actively working, she was employed at the Department for Human Resources where she gave 40 years of her life to serving others.  She loved to paint, read, and travel with her family and friends. Survivors include; one daughter, Kimberly Jo (and Jeff) Prather of Somerset, KY; two sons, Timmy R. Wallace of Ferguson, KY and Ricky Wallace of Ferguson, KY; four grandsons, Brandon (and Gina) Wallace of Somerset, KY, Josh (and Auburn) Wallace of Science Hill, KY, Logan Wallace of Somerset, KY and Matthew (and Mindy) Hargis of Science Hill, KY; one brother, Ronnie J. (and Kathi) Vaughn of Somerset, KY; one sister-in-law, Jo Ella Wallace of Owenton, KY; one son-in-law, Mark Meece of Somerset, KY; four great grandchildren, Cayden, Rebecca, and Kara of Somerset, KY and Shayle of Big Rapids, MI; two nephews, Billy Vaughn of Somerset, KY and Ryan Vaughn of New Mexico; two cousins, Patty Garner of Somerset, KY and Joanna Sewell of Somerset, KY. A ceremony celebrating the life of Betty Lee Vaughn Wallace will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Ferguson United Methodist Church with Bro. Bobby Sexton and Bro. David Pendley officiating.  The family of Mrs. Betty Lee Vaughn Wallace will receive friends at the Ferguson United Methodist Church on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until time for services. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center where Betty received the comfort and care she needed; to the Ferguson United Methodist Church, or the Toni Pendley Nurse Scholarship Fund, C/O the First Baptist Church of Somerset, KY. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored in assisting the family of Mrs. Betty Lee Vaughn Wallace during this time.
