An earthly life is over, but friends & Family’s love will continue on in memory of “Red” Vernon Meece, who passed away November 9, 2016 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab. Red spent 52 years as owner of Red’s Auto Sales. This was his life, interacting with people who wanted to discuss cars, or just visit. His other interests included building Bluebird Houses, buying and giving as gifts new fall molasses. Vernon’s love and passion was caring for Friendship Methodist Church & Cemetery. He and his father, Theodore Meece always took care of the church & cemetery that is now a 125 year old landmark. Vernon was preceded in death by; his parents, Theodore and Mary Edwards Meece; one sister, Lucille Meece Terry; two brothers-in-law, Edward Terry, and John Arnold. Survivors include; one sister, Doris Arnold; one brother, Wayne Meece and his wife Nancy. A funeral service for Mr. Vernon H. Meece will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Dalous Sears officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery. The family of Vernon H. Meece will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.
