Carolyn Sue Slavey Stogsdill

July 31, 1945 — November 6, 2016

Carolyn Sue Slavey Stogsdill, daughter of the late Oather Pete and Bernice Callahan Slavey, was born at Somerset, KY on July 31, 1945 and she departed this life on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 71 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. William Ray Stogsdill at the Fellowship United Methodist Church on July 25, 1965. He survives.  Other survivors include; her children, David Stogsdill and his very special friend, Marie Brock, Darla (and Rick) Welch, and Denyse (and John) Kidd; four grandchildren, Zach Childers, Cole Childers, Sarah Jones, and Jason Kidd; one sister, Patricia Slavey and three very special friends, Ethel Bradley, Jackie Lawson, and Doris Atherton. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one son who died in infancy, Daniel Ray Stogsdill, and one sister, Betty Lou Slavey. The family of Carolyn Slavey would like to take this opportunity to thank Carolyn’s dialysis team and the Dialysis Clinic of Somerset for the wonderful care that Carolyn received while in their care. Carolyn was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Cox and Rev. Steve Spitzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Lick Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Carolyn Sue Stogsdill will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday November 8, 2016. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored in assisting the family of Mrs. Carolyn Sue Stogsdill with all funeral arrangements.
