Lola (Burnett) Baker of Burnside, KY, went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2016. Lola was born on July 15, 1929 in Walker, KY to Betty Mayo and Bige Burnett. Lola was loved by many and will be missed. She was predeceased by her parents, 4 sisters and 5 brothers as well as daughter-in-law Judy Baker. Lola was a wonderful homemaker known for her crochet and quilting talents as well as her fondness for sweets. Lola married Ogle Baker on March 17, 1947; married for 69 years. Lola is survived by 4 sons and two daughter-in-law’s; Freddie and Sandy Baker, Bige Baker, Jackie Baker and Jimmie and Sandy Baker. Two daughters and two son-in-law’s; Janetta and Kevin Bill, Glenna and Scott Schilthelm. Also blessed and survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. The family of Lola Baker will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 12:00 noon Wednesday until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Lola Baker.
