Mary Belle Grogan, was born January 22, 1933 to the late Henry and Tanna Day Farley in Big Fork, KY. Within her family she had numerous siblings; William Farley, “Hammer” Farley, “Doc” Farley, Elva Perry, Sarah Cox, Helen Long, and Martha Brittain.
On June 29, 1954 she was married to James Earnest Grogan. Together they had seven children, James Grogan, Connie Grogan, Mark Grogan, Andy Grogan, Becky Grogan Wyatt, Richard Grogan and Scott Grogan.
Mary found joy in life by beautifying her yard, tending her dog, and gabbing with her sisters. However, the most joy she had was time spent with her children and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
While Mary was saved and baptized many years ago, she regretted not having an active church membership. Instead, she faithfully pursued God’s word through personal bible study, radio and television sermons.
Mary Belle Grogan died in her home on September 25, 2016. She is loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Calvary Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
