Madlyn Jones Phillips, born March 4, 1929, passed away September 14, 2016 having attained the age of 87 years.
She was a wonderful Christian lady, working and teaching in the Church since the age of 18. She was a member of the Mt. Victory Christian Church.
Madlyn was the daughter of the late Pete and Versie Russell Jones. She was united in marriage to Mr. Albert Phillips, February 14, 1965, he preceded her in death on March 31, 1994. She was a retired teacher in the Pulaski County School system for 33 years.
Other than her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by three sister, Mertie House, Iva Erp and Barbara Murry; one brother, Clifford Noah “Bud” Jones; and one nephew, Clinton House.
Survivors include; two sisters, Delma Lee Barnet of Cincinnati, Ohio and Marie Fox of Cuero, Texas and one brother, Dale Jones of Mt. Victory, KY.; two nieces, Pam Jaspers, and Brittany Jones; two nephews, Michael Erp and Steven Jones; and two very special friends, Pearlie Jones and Shirley Atkinson and a vast host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Vince Johnson and Bro. Dean Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Victory Christian Church Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Madlyn Jone Phillips will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time for services.
