Darren Joe Claxton

Mr. Darren Joe Claxton of Somerset, son of David and Verna (Childers) Claxton was born on November 6, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio and departed this life on Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 42 years. Mr. Claxton is survived by his wife Joyce (Sorah) Claxton, two sons; Darren Joe Claxton Jr. and Nathan Scott Claxton both of Dayton, Ohio, one step-daughter; Jacqueline McGraw of Marietta, Ohio, two brothers; Michael David Claxton of Dayton, Ohio, William Claxton of Somerset, Kentucky; two sisters; Donna Sowders and Patricia Claxton both of Somerset. Mr. Claxton also leaves behind four grandchildren; Mackenzie Claxton, Isabelle Ray Horner, Darren, Alexa McGraw and a host of friends who all mourn his passing. Mr. Claxton was preceded in death by one brother; Mark Allen Claxton and one sister; Virginia Fern Claxton. Mr. Claxton enjoyed boxing, fishing, and loved to record movies on vhs tapes. Funeral services for Joe will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplarville Cemetery in Somerset. The family of Mr. Claxton will receive friends on Monday, June 22, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
