Garland Brinson

Garland Brinson, 81, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1935; son of the late Willie and Nannie Meece Brinson. He retired from Crane Company and he farmed his entire life as well. He loved to go camping, and was a Deacon of Rock Lick Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Brinson; daughters-in-law, Judy Brinson, and Gina Brinson Mink; grandchildren, Melissa & (Johnny) Gipson, Russell & (Jenny) Brinson, Carly & (Logan) Tipton; great-grandchildren, Brianna Gipson, Braden Gipson, Trenton Gipson, and Whitlee Brinson; brothers, Starland & (Doris) Brinson and Cecil & (Joann) Brinson; sisters, Jeanette Woodall and Margaret Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Kenneth Brinson, and Timothy Wayne Brinson; five brothers, Arnold Brinson, Billy Brinson, Carvel Eugene Brinson, Ernest Brinson, and Leo Brinson; and a sister, Geneva Brinson. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Evans and Bro. Chuck Pollard officiating. Burial will be in Rock Lick Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Garland Brinson will be after 5 PM Friday, July 29, 2016 at Pulaski Funeral Home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Rock Lick Baptist Church building fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
