Charlene Vaught Denney

Charlene Vaught Denney, 88, of Somerset, KY passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 1, 1927 at Dabney, KY. She was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Lola McKinney Vaught. She was united in marriage to William H. Denney, Sr. on January 30, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1987. Charlene is survived by four children, Sandra (and Bobby) Molen of Nancy, KY, Sharon (and Mickey) Winter of Waynesburg, William H. (and Sandy ) Denney of Somerset and James (and Joy) Denney of Somerset; ten grandchildren, Johnny (and Becky) Molen, Kevin (and Amy) Molen, Michael (and Amanda) Molen, Gary (and Ann) Cline, Christy (and Mark) Hargett, Amanda Denney, Ashley Wesley, Joseph Denney, and Stephanie Denney (and John Nichols) , and Amy Denney. She is also survived by 30 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Jones Herrin, and Delores Irvine and two sisters-in-law, Sue Vaught and Mary Lou Vaught. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by; two brothers, Charlie Bob and Jackie K. Vaught; and one grandson, David Cline. A funeral service for Charlene Denney will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. Greg Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodstock Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Denney will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time for services. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
