Elmer Louis Blevins

Mr. Elmer Blevins, age 90 of Somerset, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Somerset. He was born in Lincoln County, KY on December 26, 1926 to the late Sabastian and Bessie Haga Blevins. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Nellie Sears Blevins, she preceded him in death. Survivors include; two sons, Geno Blevins of Sebring, FL and Michael Blevins of Somerset, KY, one-brother-in-law, Vola Smith. Other than his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Blevins; one brother, Victor Blevins; and five sisters, Edna Hawk, Stella Dardene, Mildred Smith, Hester Raney, and Wilma Harris. Elmer was a retired truck driver for Eagle Truck Lines, and a member of the Somerset First Baptist Church. He was a kind Christian person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services for Mr. Elmer Blevins will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sears Cemetery. The family of Mr. Elmer Blevins will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
