Sylvia R. Linville, widow of Frank Linville, passed away Wednesday June 1, 2016 in Monticello, KY. She was born January 27, 1920 in Lincoln County, KY, daughter of the late John and Ida Mae Tillet Martin. She was employed by the Somerset City Hospital and Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center until she retired. She was also an avid gardener and reader and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Somerset. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley (and Wayne) Ryan of Albany, KY; a son, Don (and Jan) Linville of Danville, KY; four grandchildren, Dana Linville, Cory (and Twila) Ryan, Nicole (and Donnie) Criswell and Travis (and Angela) Linville; six great grandchildren, Jonathan and Haleigh Criswell, Camden, Carson, and Chapman Ryan, and Luke Linville; one brother, Ernest (and Ferne) Martin; three sisters, Helen Parras, Louise (and Wayne) Atwood, and Alice Young. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Martin, and two sisters, Pearl Phelps and Ann Cassidy. A funeral service for Mrs. Linville will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Pendley and Bro. Ernest Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Sylvia R. Linville will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time for services at 11. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church of Somerset. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored in serving the family of Mrs. Sylvia Linville during their time of loss.
