Cressel A. Raney

Cressel A. Raney, age 89 son of the late Oather and Sarah Bullock Raney of Eubank, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 in Somerset, KY. He was united in marriage to Hester Raney, she preceded him in death. Survivors include; two sons, Richard (and Kathy) Raney of Waldron, IN, Stanley (and Tina) Raney of Somerset; five daughters, Lillian Raney of Eubank, KY; Laura (and Eddie) Thompson of Ingalls, IN, Janet (and Chapp) Caldwell of Somerset, KY, Sharon Gilliam and Shelia Raney both of Eubank, KY; one sister, Yvonne Shrum of Jamestown, TN; 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Other than his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by; one daughter, Clara Raney; three brothers, Marshell, James, and Noel Raney; and five sisters, Berniece Raney, Goldia Raney, Annis Wethington, Willene Woodall, and Carole Yadon. Cressel was a member of the Barnesburg Baptist Church and was a retired manager from Kentucky Fried Chicken. He was a kind person who will be deeply missed by all who knew him and leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Harris and Bro. Tony Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Raney Inabnitt Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38. The family will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mr. Cressel Raney.
