Mrs. Berniece Jones

Mrs. Berniece Jones, daughter of the late Leonard and Lou Thompson Osborne, was born at Clarence, Kentucky on March 4, 1922 and she departed this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 87 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Carlos Jones on January 31, 1940, in Eubank, KY. He preceded her in death. Survivors include; two sons, Don (and Jan) Jones of Somerset, KY, and Dannie Jones (and Melda Meece) of Eubank, KY; two daughters, Gail (and Joe) Wallace of Eubank, KY and Debbie Warren of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one brother, Robert Osborne of Somerset, KY; one sister, Grace Floyd of Somerset, KY; ten grandchildren, Bruce Jones, Stuart Jones, Sherry Barron, Kevin Wallace, Jason Jones, David Jones, Kerry Warren, Katie Warren, Lindsey Moore and Lucas Warren and 13 great grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by; one brother, Mr. Barkley Osborne, and two sisters, Eula and Faye Pumphrey and one son-in-law, Butch Warren. Berniece was a retired Patient’s Aide for Oakwood of the Bluegrass, she was also a homemaker and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, she was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family to mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral home with Bro. Danny Pace officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodstock Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Berniece Jones will receive friends after 5:00 P.M. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. The family requests, in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building fund, c/o Immanuel Baptist Church, 808 Bourne Ave., Somerset, KY 42501 Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Berniece Jones.
