Doyle Wayne Patterson, 69, of Somerset, Kentucky went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the University of Tennessee's Trauma Center. He was born April 12, 1947 in Somerset, Kentucky to Arthur C. Patterson and the late Ruby Minton Patterson. He is survived by his wife, Janice Simpson Patterson of 48 years of marriage; to this union one daughter Karen & (Charlie) Walker of Somerset, KY; one son, Troy & (Sami) Patterson of Lexington, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Courtney Walker and Josi Patterson; one sister, Kay Simpson of Nancy Kentucky, and one brother, Danny & (Barbara) Patterson of Somerset, Kentucky; also several nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roscoe and Willie Myrtle Mills Patterson; his maternal grandparents, Marion Minton and Lola Harness Minton. Doyle was employed with the Pulaski Co. School System for 23 years, and was a member of Community Harvest Church of God. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 2, 2016 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Perkins and Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Gary Simpson, Roy Simpson, Matthew Patterson, Kevin Thompson, Hunter Simpson, and Brandon Patterson. Visitation for Doyle Patterson will be from 5-8:30 PM Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
