Tophel Glen Burdine, age 75, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born on April 7, 1941; son of the late Oather Lee and Juanita Francis Adams Burdine.
He is survived by his wife Connie Sue Poynter Burdine of Somerset. They were married on February 14, 1969 at Flat Lick Baptist Church. They were married for 47 years and 2 months. They were blessed with two sons, Donavon & (Michelle) Burdine, and Chad Burdine both of Somerset; they were also blessed with three grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, and Haley Burdine. Tophel is survived by two brothers, Lonnie E. & (Nancy) Burdine of Brownsburg, In., and Clint Burdine of Bronston, KY and Troy Rogers, son of Clint of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Tophel was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Orville Archie Burdine who was born and died in November 1942; and one grandson little Samuel Lee Burdine that was born and died on September 11, 2001.
Tophel loved his family very much. He was an avid fisherman and loved trucking and building Semi’s.
Tophel accepted the Lord as his personal savior on September 9, 2015. He will be missed by a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be after 6 PM held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, April 15, 2016 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Ramsey and Bro. Roger Dykes officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of the Bluegrass or to New Beginnings Worship Center Building Fund.
