Mr. Chester Flynn, son of the late Charlie and Ollie Tucker Flynn, was born in the Delta Community of Wayne County, KY on April 15, 1933 and he departed this life on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at his residence having attained the age of 76 years.
He was united in marriage to Julia Baker Flynn, August 9, 1968, she preceded him in death. Survivors include; two children, Charles M. (and Judy) Baker and Mary Flynn Watson and her fiancee, Robert Edens; six grandchildren, Chris (and Rebecca) Baker, Jessica Baker Raspperry, Kristina Watson, Katelyn Edens, Jennifer Edens, and Justin Edens; ten great grandchildren, Brandon Southwood, Damien Baker, Christopher Baker, Matthew Baker, Madison Jernigan, Kaylee Jernigan, Makayla Burton, Denise Raspperry, Jasmine Raspperry and Jerah Caldwell; one brother, Bobby Flynn and one sister, Lena Mae (and Evert) Walden and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by five brothers, Frank, Estil, James, John, and Arvil Flynn and five sisters, Zada Shadoan, Ida Hollars, Anna Lee Flynn, Pauline Marie Flynn and Hattie Colyer.
Chester was a farmer and a Korean War Veteran, he was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
The family of Mr. Chester Flynn will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 10. 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38.
