Mrs. Edna M. (Stewart) Miller

Edna M. Stewart Miller daughter of the late Presley and Evelyn Alexander Stewart, was born on October 28, 1912 in Somerset, KY, and she departed this life on Monday, May 04, 2009 having attained the age of 96 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. John Samuel Miller on September 5, 1936, he preceded her in death on October 18, 1996. Survivors include; one son, James P. (Jimmy) Miller of Somerset, KY; one grandson, John P. Miller of Lexington, KY; one brother, Murrell Stewart of Somerset, KY and several nephews and nieces. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Katheryn Evelyn Miller; four sisters, and one brother. Edna was a seamstress and she worked for Hughes Department Store, and she was a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church and early in life, she performed on the radio with the Sacred Heart Singers Quartet. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay Hill Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Edna Miller will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Clay Hill Baptist Church Cemetery or the Clay Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
