Irene Johnson

Irene Johnson, age 93 of Nancy, Kentucky; passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center. She was born on April 6, 1922 in Vinnie, Ky, daughter of Oscar and Emma Frye McClendon She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred F. Johnson, a daughter, Patricia Sue Wilson, brothers, Ralph and Rual McClendon and sisters Vena Lester and Ovileen Eastham. She is survived by three children, Eugene & (Janice) Johnson, Roger & (Linda) Johnson, and Doris & (Ricky) Ping, four grandchildren, Rebecca Johnson, Stacey Johnson, Angela Brown, and Jonathan Wilson, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She spent her life as a homemaker, gardening and farming. She enjoyed spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will be in Millsprings National Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Irene Johnson will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
