Lester Bill Hood

Mr. Lester Bill Hood of Woodridge Estates, Somerset, Ky, son of the late Alonzo and Alma Bullock Hood, was born on September 6, 1938 in Bloss, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 67 years. Bill was united in marriage to Bobbie Hayes Hood, whom he married on June 27, 1961; she survives. Other survivors include; one daughter, Michelle Vaught and her husband Jimmy; one granddaughter, Heather Vaught; one grandson, Nick Vaught; two brothers, Lance (and Wanda) Hood and Bobby Hood; and three sisters, Anna Harper, Velma Cromer and Doris (and Clinton) Ping all of Somerset, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Grace and Georgia Russell and Wanda Vanhook. Bill was a member of the Sunnyside Baptist Church, where he was always faithful, and served for many years as songleader there. He was retired from the Norfolk-Southern Railroad. Bill was a kind person who was always looking for an opportunity to share Jesus. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Reynolds and Rev. Ted Towner officiating. Bill will be laid to rest at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mr. Lester Bill Hood will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the funeral home. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
