Mrs. Aileen Doris Tomilson Dykes Mounce

Aileen Doris (Tomilson) Dykes Mounce, departed this life on April 24, 2009. Aileen was the daughter of the late Elmer and Maggie (Fulcher) Tomilson and she was born on June 4, 1923 in the Ruth Community. She was a member of the Malvin Hill Baptist Church and was a former member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church where she was a sunday school teacher for 30 years. She also worked as a clerk for Roses Department Store and Hughes Department Store. Aileen will be greatly missed by many family and friends. She leaves behind; her husband, Mr. Edward Mounce of whom she has been married to for 24 years; two sons, Fred Dykes of Chicago, IL and Charles (and Sharon) Dykes of Mooreville, IN; eight grandchildren, Robbie Dykes,Jeff Dykes, Allen Dykes, Deanna (Dykes) Matthews, Kathy Dykes, Deborah Dykes and Vivian Kamencik; nine great grandchildren; ten step children, Stanley (and Kaye) Mounce, Cheryl Mounce, Alice Mounce, Lindy Mounce, Phillip (and Louise) Meece, Kenny (and Pam) Mounce, Danny (and Donna) Mounce, Kim (and James) Weaver, Pam (and Frank) Meece, Patricia (and Ray) Tomlison; nineteen step-grandchildren and many step-great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by; her first husband, Robert “Bob” Dykes; two sons, Harold Tommy Dykes, and Robert Jr. Dykes; and one daughter–in-law, Peggy Dykes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Dobbs and Rev. Jimmy Molden officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkhart Cemetery at Shopville, KY. The family of Mrs. Aileen Mounce will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009. The Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all funeral arrangements of Mrs. Aileen Mounce.
