Donald Earl Mounce, son of the late Irvin and Pauline Mounce, was born in Franklin, Indiana on December 29, 1957 and went home to meet the Lord on Saturday April 18, 2009 having attained 51 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years Cammie Mounce of Somerset, two daughters Crystal Grubbs and husband James of Harlan, Ky., Tammy Pond and Husband Kevin of Harlan, Ky., and Michael Richardson of Russell Springs, KY., six grandchildren; Jasmine Grubbs, Courtney Grubbs, Emma Grubbs, Sarah Kesinger, Devin Duffield, Katelynn Duffield, three brother; James Irvin (and Gaetha) Mounce , Harold Russell (and Cathy B) Mounce, and Roy Lynn Mounce all of Somerset, four sisters; Betty (and Fred) Smith of Rushville, IN., Wilma (and Lehman) Burdine of Somerset, KY., Regina (and Roger) Chaney of Somerset, KY., and Elaine Stogsdill of Somerset, KY. Mr. Mounce also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews (adopted ones too) and family and friends who all mourn his passing.
Other than his parents Donald is preceded in death by grandparents; Denny and Roanna Mounce, and Ester and Mary Anne Meece, two brothers; Robert Gary Mounce, and John Dennis Mounce, two nephews; Timothy James Burdine and Clayton Matthew Stogsdill, one niece; Kimberly Jane Burdine and one brother-in-law; Charles M. Stogsdill.
Mr. Donald Mounce was a member at the Pitman Creek Baptist Church and employed with Hinkle-Contracting of Somerset.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pitman Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dallas Sears and Rev. Garry Wilson officiating.
The family of Mr. Mounce will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on April 19, 2009 in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the Pitman Creek Baptist Church.
Burial will be held in the Providence Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the Pitman Creek Baptist Church Mission Fund and/or Building Fund.
