Mrs. Shirley Gossett

Shirley Gossett, daughter of the late Harvey Hart and Ruby Irene West McClain, was born June 17, 1940 and she departed this life on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 75 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Clifford Gossett. He preceded her in death. Survivors include; two daughters, Keitha (and Allen) Barnett and Lisa Wilson of Somerset; two sisters, Judy (and Freeman) Dowell and Faye Moore; five grandchildren, Lisa Burton, Eric (and Robin) Barnett, Cody Wilson, Kyler Barnett and Cameron Austin; and two great grandchildren, Kayli Holts, and Hunter Barnett. Other than her husband and parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda Gossett; one sister-in-law, Betty Bowling; a brother-in-law, Claude Gossett and a son-in-law, Greg Wilson. She enjoyed her family, friends and U. K. Basketball, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves a host of relatives who mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Neal Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery at Nancy, KY. The family of Mrs. Shirley Gossett will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
