Hollin Stogsdill, son of the late Victor and Ona Erp Stogsdill, was born Feb. 15, 1937 and departed this life in the presence of his family on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 having attained the age of 78 years.
He was united in marriage to Virginia Fay Cook Stogsdill on Dec. 24, 1957. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include; one son, Hollin Stogsdill, Jr. of Somerset. Two daughters, Wilma (and Jessie) Stogsdill of Somerset and Donna (and Kerry ) Foutch of Ferguson; five granddaughters, Amanda (and Paul) Mayfield, Angela and Chris Stogsdill Hurt, Katessa (and Jamie) Saulsberry, Holly Young, and Lauren Foutch; two grandsons, Justin Young (and his fiancée Ashley Mathis) and Jordan Foutch; the following great grandchildren, Zachary, Andrew and Haylee Mayfield, Makayla Stogsdill, Candance Stogsdill Hurt, Allison Hurt, Matthew Stogsdiill Hurt, Christopher Saulsberry and Alex Saulsberry; a special sister-in-law, Wilma Phelps and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Other than his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by; five brothers, Homer, Herman, Howard, Hollis and Hershell Stogsdill; and three sisters, Relda Calhoun, Rosa Soats, and Retha Stogsdill.
Hollin was retired from Crane manufacturing, and a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church #1. He was a loving dad, and grandpa and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Eggers officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Thicket Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Hollin Stogsdill will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016.
