William "Bill" Edwards Carmichael

Mr. William E. “Bill” Carmichael, son of the late Ralph and Millie Marsey Carmichael, was born in Bedford, Indiana on January 25, 1929, and he departed this life on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center having attained the age of 86. He was united in marriage to Betty Jo Withers Randall Carmichael, she survives. Other survivors include; three children, William (and Sandy) Carmichael of Brownsburg, IN, James (and Susie) Carmichael of Indianapolis, IN, and Cathi (and Don) Harmon also of Indianapolis, IN; three step-children, Richard Randall of Somerset, Kentucky, Clifford (and Gerrye) Randall of Somerset, Kentucky and Janice (and Frank) Tridico of Madisonville, LA; thirteen grandchildren, and several great- grandchildren. Other than his parents Mr. Carmichael was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Carmichael. He served as a Lieutenant during the Korean War with the United States Army. He worked in sales, marketing and management throughout his career. He was retired from the family business, Black Lumber Companies of Indiana. No funeral service will be held, family request expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or any charity beneficial to veterans.
